I’m really happy to announce the release of the first surroundsoundmusic.com album called ‘Journey I’ 🙂
It is available in stereo on CD Baby, amazon.com
The idea behind this project was simple: to create an immersive and relaxing soundscape that goes beyond the typical synthesizer sounds or looped melodies, something that could work as background for meditation, relaxation or studying, but also something that is actual music and can be listened to attentively.
Basis for each of the 4 tracks were recordings of nature sounds over which an acoustic instrument was played:
- rain + piano
- birds in the forest + acoustic guitar
- a mountain creek + therapy monochord
- ocean waves + PANArt Hang

Water is the essence of all life. It nourishes us, it cleans us, but it can also create an abundance of sounds.
Each water sound has its own character, its own set of inherent emotions. To me this translates to colors very well, which is why each track is named after a color. […]
I was living with these sounds for many months before they revealed to me what instrument to use and ultimately they inspired me to the performances you’re about to hear.
I hope I succeeded in creating something that can help you relax, open your mind and heart and take you on a journey to wherever it is you’d like to go.
